Tottenham striker Harry Kane has finally earned a place in the England squad for the upcoming fixtures against Lithuania and Italy, Kane has been in top form with most number of goals so far in Barclays Premier League 2014/15. Kane has scored 26 goals in 42 matches and has been awarded with Premier League player of the month in January and February 2015.
Daniel Sturridge, Fabian Delph and Kyle Walker were also added to the squad while surprisingly Charlie Austin and Ryan Mason were left out of the 24 man squad as they also deserve a place.
Berahino and Lambert were also excluded from the squad due to their poor performances in the past month or so. On the other hand Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has also been included as left back.
The English manager Roy Hodgson was delighted with Kane’s performance and it wasn’t a surprise at all to see Kane in the squad.
England will be playing against Lithuania on the 27th of March.
